FIVE PRIVATE WATERFALLS, STEPS AWAY FROM YOUR STAY

At Tuxedo Falls, the waterfalls aren’t nearby, they’re on our land — woven into the heart of the property and just a short walk from every treehouse and safari tent. Our five private waterfalls are all located within approximately 500 feet of our accommodations and are connected by our ¾-mile Waterfall Loop Trail, allowing guests to experience them easily, quietly, and without crowds.

This rare proximity — luxury lodging paired with multiple on-site waterfalls — is what defines the Tuxedo Falls experience.

Each waterfall has its own character, seasonality, and setting, all accessible directly from our trail system.

TOMMY FALLS

A graceful cascade waterfall on Cabin Creek, framed by forest and mossy rock, and often glowing with morning light. It is the most easily accessed and just steps from the Lodge.

Tuxedo FALLS

Our namesake waterfall and one of the most dramatic on the property, flowing through a narrow gorge just steps from nearby lodging.  It can be heard from both of our treehouses and in winter is glimpsed from the treehouse decks.

Shower Falls

A gentle, curtain-like waterfall along Cabin Creek that invites lingering, perhaps even to enjoy a refreshing cold plunge in the crystal clear pool below.

Sliding Falls

Located on Joe Creek, this waterfall is viewed from the creekside deck, offering a layered perspective of moving water and forest.  The unique granite rock formations alongside this waterfall are truly spectacular.

Bailey Falls

Three distinct cascades tumbling in sequence along Joe Creek, creating one of the most striking natural features on the trail.  Alongside this waterfall in Sofa Rock, perfect for a picnic, short rest …or even a nap.  At the bottom, nature gave us a hand and provided a hemlock tree for easy access across the stream and waterfall viewing.

ALL FIVE WATERFALLS ARE:

  • Private and exclusive to Tuxedo Falls guests
  • Accessed directly from trails on the property
  • Within a short, walkable distance of accommodations

THE WATERFALL LOOP TRAIL

Our ¾-mile Waterfall Loop Trail connects all five waterfalls in a single, immersive walk….through forest, creek crossings, and shaded ravines.

The trail is designed to be:

  • Easy to follow
  • Naturally integrated into the landscape
  • Walkable in a short amount of time, with many places to pause and explore

Guests often remark that they’re able to experience multiple waterfalls without ever getting in a car — a rarity in Western North Carolina.

The Confluence

An additional highlight along the Waterfall Trail is The Confluence, where Cabin Creek and Joe Creek meet.

Across cultures and throughout history, the meeting of waters has held symbolic meaning — representing connection, transition, and renewal. For Native American communities, confluences were often considered places of gathering and significance, where natural pathways intersected.

Today, The Confluence at Tuxedo Falls is a natural gathering place…equally suited for lingering, celebrating, and marking meaningful moments. Its setting and symbolism make it a favorite for engagements, elopements, and intimate wedding ceremonies.

A Rare Setting

Many mountain destinations offer waterfalls nearby. Very few offer five private waterfalls on site, all within walking distance of luxury accommodations.

At Tuxedo Falls:

  • Waterfalls are part of daily life on the property
  • Trails begin just outside your door
  • The sound of moving water is a constant presence

It’s not a destination you drive to… it’s one you’re already in.
